Bike Park Benefits

Addressing Evolving Recreational Needs: A bike park provides a modern recreational facility that meets the evolving needs of our community. With increasing interest in cycling and outdoor activities, approving a bike park would cater to the growing demand for diverse recreational options within our county.

Promoting Healthy Activity for All Ages: A bike park encourages physical fitness and healthy lifestyles for residents of all ages. By providing a safe and accessible space for biking, the park would foster an active and engaged community, promoting cardiovascular health, mental well-being, and social interaction.

Volunteer-Based with Low Annual Costs: The existing bike park operates on a volunteer-based model, leveraging the passion and expertise of local cycling enthusiasts. This approach ensures cost-effectiveness, as the park can be built and maintained with minimal annual expenditure, allowing the county to allocate resources to other important projects.

Bike trails have positive economic impacts, attracting visitors and cycling enthusiasts from neighboring areas, boosting local businesses such as bike shops, cafes, and can contribute to the growth of tourism and generate revenue for the county.
